Author of Retire without Worry

Robert J. Reby is the founder and president of the R.J. Reby Foundation, Inc., a Danbury, Connecticut organization he began in 1997.  He is also the author of a new book, Retire without Worry, which helps people understand their retirement considerations.

Bob’s commitment to assisting clients with their finances prompted him to write Retire without Worry, published by the Foundation in January, 2004. All profits, after taxes, from the book will go to fund the Foundation’s charitable activities.

Bob Reby was graduated from James Madison University (Harrisonburg, VA), with a Bachelor of Business Administration degree in Finance.  He furthered his career interest in personal finance by enrolling in the Certified Financial Planner (CFP) program and earning the CFP designation in 1988.

Reby is active in numerous professional organizations including the Financial Planning Association (FPA) and the Certified Financial Planner Board of Standards. He regularly speaks on financial matters and hosts free seminars at many professional organizations, local colleges and universities, Chambers of Commerce, and investment club meetings.

Bob offers his expertise to a variety of media including, CNNfn, CNBC’s “Power Lunch,” Business Week, Fortune, Investor’s Business Daily and the Connecticut Post.  He is also an on-air financial expert for “Your Weekend,” WTNH-Channel 8 (an ABC affiliate) in New Haven, CT. For eight years Bob hosted “Money Sense,” a weekly radio show offering financial knowledge. He also penned a newspaper column of the same name.

Currently, when Bob isn’t helping his clients pursue and maintain financial independence, he can be found on the golf course or spending time with his family.
